Sunday

We're having a really, really lazy Sunday today. The kids are being couch potatoes, and I've been browsing Pinterest for the last hour or so, in between laundry loads and dinner making. P went to the farm to see if he might spy a wild boar. They are making such a mess out there, and although I'm grateful that he does shoot one once in a while for the freezer (we actually had some for dinner today), I wouldn't mind if they were all gone.

As it turns out, I have one more layout from the crop in Växjö last month, that I haven't shown you yet, so that's what you get today.
 Have a great Sunday, everyone!

A couple of MME cards.

Isn't it amazing how hard it can be to drag your butt out of bed and head to work on the first day after a break? This morning was awful! However, it was enough just to turn up at work for things to be back to normal again, and it was like fall break never happened. Today has been a good day, though, and I'm just home for a bit now waiting to head off again with Agnes on her dance class this evening. I thought I'd pop in and share a couple of Christmas cards in the meantime.

I ADORE these papers from My Mind's Eye! I can't get enough of them. I'm down to my very last scraps of the collection, and I seriously consider getting another pack... The color combo and the patterns are fab, just look at the chevron washi tape. It's to die for.

Well, it's getting time to pack the little one into the car and head into town. Se you later!

Sunday it is...

...and the fall break just disappeared. I always thought breaks were for relaxing, but apparently not. I haven't touched my scrapbook stash, and all I have done is cleaning, cooking, laundry and preparing for next week. Oh  and working... Did I mention working? As a teacher, you just don't have breaks. It doesn't really matter that you put in 45 hours a week to be able to have these breaks, because you still have to work during the breaks. Great, isn't it?

When I was in Växjö in October, I participated in a challenge where the profits went to breast cancer research, and the prize was a pink Fiskars paper cutter. The theme of the challenge was pink, and this is the layout I created. It's my pink little girl, relaxing, Greta Garbo-style, on a golden chaise-lounge at my grandmother's place. This is such a typical pose for my little girl! She's such a little diva!

Well, I was pretty pleased with how the layout turned out, and I guess everyone else liked it too, because I now have a pink Fiskars paper cutter on my scrap desk... And, believe it or not, all these years that I have been scrapping, I have been way too cheap to get a paper cutter, and used a ruler and knife instead, but now that I have it, I love it and use it all the time :)

Have a great Sunday, everyone! I'm off to fold laundry and cook lunch...

My final assignment for Scraplagret

Hiy'all! This post will be short in words, but heavy with photos. I just wanted to come on an show you what I made from my final DT-kit from Scraplagret, before I resigned. It was a lush packet as always, so it really felt like going out with a bang :)
