Maya Road Wings Chipboard Album

Finally I got my wings Album from Maya Road, and finally I got a chance to alter it. I've been so busy with Nook U so I've had to put everything else aside. But now I'm actually done with all the assignments, and I can lean back and se how the teachers grade the last ones. I'm currently in 1st place, imagine that among all those talented scrappers. It sure would be nice to win the entire contest, but if I don't I won't be sorry, because I gave it my best shot, had a lot of fun along the way, and now I have a huge pile of layouts I'm happy to have made. So I'm a winner anyway :)

This mini is also made for Nook U, for Library Science class. And of course the assigmnent was to make a mini with a minimum of ten sentences of journaling, something stamped and a soft embellishment of some kind. I made this mini about the love my two children have for each other. I've used a lot of Maya Road on this one, and papers from 7 Gypsies.


This is what I really love about Maya Road minis - they look fabulous layered up like this. And with a few chipboard shapes inside the book it gets quite a lot of air between the pages. I've used one of my brand new Maya Mists for the bird.

The swirl is yet another MR-shape. I've painted it with white dabber and put some white Stickles on it. The burgundy velvet ribbon is from Panduro, and I love it! It's so beautiful in real life, self-adhesive and really easy to work with.

I had to squeeze in some Punchinella in a few places in the book too. I haven't used it so much lately. Too bad really, since I like the texture of it a lot.

Here's my stamped accent - a couple of Basic Grey clearstamps on the chipboard heart, and one of my soft embellishments - the green felt flower beneath the heart.
I'm really happy with how this mini turned out, and I hope It can gain me a few points at least. Well, that's all for now, but I have a few more layouts to show in a day or so.
