An angel in a jar

In my last kit from Scraplagret I got this cute little fractured doll, which was too bulky to put on a layout or a card. I've had this jar on a shelf in my scraproom for ages, and now I found a way to put it to good use.
Have a nice day, everyone! I expect I will spend it trying to keep out of the pouring rain.

The N-house

Spring is finally upon us, for real, and I have been spending a whole lot of time out and about, hiking and running, trying to get my act together as far as my health is concerned. There hasn't been a lot of time for scrapping lately, and I haven't really made that a priority either. We're focusing a lot on the farm too right now, because we are all longing to move out there for real, and there is still so much left to do before we can do that. However, we do spend a lot of time there in the weekends, and we're slowly making progress with the redecorating.

I've been really busy at work too, lately, as always this time of year. We are having lots of exams right now that need to be planned and marked, and there are so many things going on. Among other things, my class is planning a trip to Åland early in June, and we all really look forward to that. We're also planning for graduation time, with all the activities involved in that, such as outings and parties.

The kids' schedules are also tight right now, with both of them having their birthdays coming up shortly, football practise, badminton practise, dance class, swimming, scouting, only to mention a few things. Agnes is getting really excited about starting school in August, and she recently found out who her new classmates will be. She's thrilled about getting all of her old friends from daycare in her class, and a bit sad that her very best friend won't be in her class, but mostly she's happy.

Nevertheless, I have managed to sneak in a little bit of scrapping here and there, mostly for my DT assignments, but also for really exciting events, like this one - the N-house, which I made as inspiration for one of the challenges at the Easter cyber crop, recently held at Scraplagret.
The paper here is from Prima's Almanac collection, which I simply adore! I love the colors and the theme of the line, so so sweet!

Well, I must dash. I have a few more things on the agenda before I can hop into bed to get some sleep before a new busy, but hopefully great, week at work. See ya!

True Love

Here's a short post for you today with a layout I made for KiAs Butik.
The very precious motif is my sweet sister Anna and her partner Totte. Aren't they just adorable together?

So, have a nice Friday everyone. Mine has just started, and I will be spending it digging into LGR11, the curriculum we base our teaching on. It will be fun! Yeah, right... But absolutely necessary.

Dreams of France

I've been to France, once. It was ages ago, but nevertheless, it was magical. I was in Paris, and I spent a wonderful week in Provence. When I got some papers and embellishments from Prima's En Francais line, I started looking through the photos from that journey, and I started longing to go back there. I might, pretty soon, because the beauty of Provence in May really took my breath away back then, and looking at the photos, it all came back to me.

All the supplies for these layouts are from Scraplagret, and guess what? They are have cyber crop coming up in a couple of weeks! Read all about it here.

A lament to the old Volvo

As you might remember, our Volvo died. It was such a sad event (or not), which you can read more about here, if you'd like to know what happened. Of course I had to make a layout about it. The title says: Rest in peace, oh suicidal old Volvo.

Sure, it was a rather crappy old car, and we were thinking of getting a new one either way, but we weren't quite prepared to see it go just like that.
The layout was made for a challenge at En Liten Butik. The challenge was to use stamps, banners and color splashes. I've splashed Glimmer mist and white acrylic paint, and I've used a ledger stamp, from Unity Stamps.
So, now that the old car died, of course we had to get another one, right? After three Volvos in a row, we decided to go in another direction and choose something a bit different. When P first mentioned that he might like a Kia, I was a little bit sceptical, but we started asking around, and spoke to quite a few Kia owners. As it turned out, everyone was more than pleased with their cars. So I caved in. And here it is. A lovely red Kia Cee'd. Well, it isn't ours just yet, but we're waiting anxiously to go pick it up. I can tell you, there's a lot of anticipation going on in our house at the moment. I'm dying to get the car and go for a loooong ride!

It seems I'm starting to come out of that troublesome scrapblock I've been in since long before Christmas. I've got some well-needed vitamin injections in the shape of some of Prima's lovely new collections, and thus I feel like I'm back on track again! Lovely! So, I'll be getting some scrapping on tonight, I think!
Have a great Sunday night everyone!

Gone fishing

Here's a short post today with a layout I've made with Prima's Londonderry collection. It's Albin, who's fishing in Bräkneån. I really loved this collection. It is perfect for scrapping photos of the kids doing kids' stuff at the farm.
All the supplies for this layout is from Scraplagret.

Buddies (and a suicidal car)

Wowza... I seem to have taken a quite a break from blogging! To be honest, I've taken a break from scrapbooking too, apart from the must-makes, i.e my DT-assignments. I haven't had much inspiration, really, and I have been preoccupied with other things. Here's one of the few things I've managed to produce so far this year, a layout with Chantilly Dawn papers from Riddersholm Design.
So, I've had an awful lot to think about lately, and desicions to make. My job is surely taking it's toll, no matter how much I love it and all the people I work with, both students and colleagues. Thankfully, we're having a week-long break starting today, and we all need that.

Also, we found ourselves in a lot more trouble than we ever wished for when our dear old Volvo V70 decided that it had enough and committed suicide. Yes, it did just that, actually. Believe it or not. It took off on its own downhill, missed the farmhouse, missed a huge pile of rocks, went across the road, hit a crash barrier and tipped over onto the neighbours' field... oops. I know, it really is hilarious, when you think about it. Noone got in the way, and noone was hurt, so, apart from the car itself, no damage was done. The parking break must have gone haywire. The insurance company decided that the car can't be fixed, so here we are without a car. Thankfully, we have family who are more than happy to help us out and lend us cars, so we're fine for the time being. We have to decide what car to get instead, though. We tried a KIA Cee'd last weekend, and I loved it! Not quite as nice to drive as a Volvo, but close enough.

Thus, scrapbooking has not been a priority for some time. I'm hoping to get more time do scrap and blog about it too now that we're having this break.
