Happy Halloween!

Me, my little witch and my little... well, boy with skeletons on his T-shirt (that was all I could convince him to wear, he hates dressing up) would like to wish all of you out there a happy Halloween. We're celebrating it tonight with eating spiderweb cake, something we all love... And these little brats tasted it during the photo shoot, so we already know it tastes fabulous. At least I managed to get a few deacent shots before the cake frosting was full of fingerprints and DD had her face full of chocolate. She really is a witch that girl.

Ahoy Matey!

Finally we're having autumn holidays over here, and finally I have a few moments to spare to blog this pirate mini I've made with my Bind-It-All. My children were at a pirate party a few weeks ago, so there were plenty of photos to make room for.

Both the sail and the boat itself opens up to reval photos and journaling.

Isn't this little skull charm cute? Actually, my DS wore it in a chain around his neck to the party, and it's a piece of that chain that I've used to attach it to the album
That's all for now. I have to get out in the horrible weather here to do some shopping, and I'm not looking forward to it. It's freezing cold, rainy and windy... Perfect weather to stay in and scrap, in other words. I wish I could do that, but then there would be nothing to eat in the house in a day or two.

And it's a little bit spooky... They are having a Halloween theme over at 2 sketches this week, and since I'm crazy about houses, a haunted house just had to be part of my card this week. And finally I could use some of my purple glitter thickers. I love them, they are absolutely gorgeous, but I never use purple when I scrap...

More Bind-It-All

Here's another project I've made for Zutter / Bind-It-All. It's a 6X6" book of the different sides of Agnes personality, because she sure has a lot of them... I've used the fantastic Basic Grey line Eva, which is perfect for a girly mini like this one. I've made all pages in different shapes or with different edges, and I've used tons of embellishments, which made this book really thick.

The chipboards are all painted with golden Maya mists.

Think Inside The Box!

I always try to think outside the box when it comes to papercrafting, but this time I decided to think inside the box instead. I found this cute little hatbox at Panduro Hobby, and I decided to alter it and put a matching minibook inside. I got these Ambrosia papers, and they were just perfect for the project.

I made the mini book round to fit the box, and put an 3/4" white O-wire in it.
The pictures are from a walk with the kids here in Bräkne-Hoby when the fall colors were at their peak. I love how the sun shines through the maple on the left photo. And the kids really enjoy playing in the leaves.
I also managed to sneak in a little poem about fall.
I have to admit, I did play around in Photoshop to make the fall colors deeper and more vibrant, to match the papers even better. I can't seem to print a single photo without editing it first, and when I look through all the pictures I had developed BP (before photoshop, and before photo printer) they all look so dull... I have hundreds of them, but I can't bring myself to using them... And I just have to show you my little model wannabe who jumped straight into the photoshoot... That's our Lisa, the nosy little thing who always wants to be in the centre of attention. Well, she didn't really jump in for a chance to be caught on camera. I had put a table cloth on one of our garden benches to take these pictures, and she probably thought "Oh, goodie, there's something soft and cuddly to sleep on! I have to check it out!" Is't she the cutest?And I'm proud to say that my gallery at Zutter Zisters is up, this project, and a couple more, is in it, and you simply have to run over there to check out what my creative DT-zisters have been up to this month. There are som really fab projects in there!

I can't get enough of these Eva papers! At first I thought they weren't really my style at all, but now that I have them, I love them!

Kazan's sketch 11

It's been a while since I've made any cards. Well, I have made a couple, but I've forgot to take photos of them before I've sent them off. Today, however, I found a treasure at work when I was on a scavenger hunt in lockers and storage rooms searching for things to use at a cardmaking/scrapbooking class I'm planning for the last week before Christmas - an old dictionary from 1966, which didn't look too god, a bit torn and worn. It's old and torn enough to be thrown out, really, but I thought it would be great to use it for scrappy projects. And it doesn't cost anything either, which is great since we don't have that big a budget for this scrappy project at school. I saw someone who made dictionary flowers, punched them out of pages from a dictionary (can't remember on whose blog I saw it, though), so I started thinking of other ways to use a dictionary. Here I've used a page as background paper and I've also cut a couple of strips about 1" wide, and made into a flower similar to the ribbon flower I put on the Pink Paislee layout I made with a photo of Albin a few weeks ago. And of course I used Kazan's sketch at Two Sketches this week. And it's about time to start with the Christmas cards, so that's what I ended up with.
